Services for Senior Citizens

Services for Senior Citizens

There are a number of services that are available to our senior residents.  Outlined below is a brief summary of some of these services as well as contact information for the various agencies.

BC's Health & Senior's Information Line (Seniors First BC)

Seniors First BC, a "one stop" location to obtain information on health and non-health related programs and services for BC seniors.  Hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.  Call toll free 1-866-437-1940.

Better At Home Program

The Better at Home is a United Way program that helps seniors continue living independently in their own homes by providing simple non-medical services like help with housekeeping and transportation to appointments.  This program is being developed for the Ashcroft/Cache Creek and Logan Lake area.  For more information click here.

Community Resource Directory

The Community Resources Society (CRS) is a volunteer organization that provides a number of services to Ashcroft and the surrounding area including the production of an annual directory.  This directory is very comprehensive and includes contact information on a wide variety of services from Business Associations, Churches, Education, Governments, Seniors, Service Organizations and more.  This directory has been made available to us free of charge and to download a copy click here
