Parking Restrictions
Residents are not allowed to store items on public property, such as street shoulders.
Residents are reminded that items of any kind cannot be stored for extended periods on street shoulders.

No vehicle may be parked on a street shoulder for longer than 30 days, including: Trailers and Motor Vehicles.

All vehicles parked along the road or on a street shoulder must have valid plates and registration. (BC Motor Vehicle Act)

Items including Truck Campers, Furniture, Decorative Rocks, and Garbage Bins are not to be left for extended periods on street shoulders as these items can interfere with winter snow removal and/or the line of sight necessary for safe driving and pedestrian walking.

Please review Bylaw No. 753 for complete details of the Village Traffic Regulations.  Those contravening the Bylaw can face vehicle impoundment (including the associated fees), and fines.

Village staff will be stepping up efforts to address these issues over the coming months.  Properties found in violation will receive a letter in the mail.
