Village Council

The Village of Ashcroft is governed by a Mayor and four Councillors.  Council is responsible for setting the course of direction for the community and making decisions which direct municipal staff for the delivery of Village services to the community.  Follow this link to learn more about the Village's Mayor and Councillors.

Council holds regular meetings through out the year.  Every Council Meeting has an agenda that is available for public inspection the Friday prior to the scheduled meeting.  As well, minutes detailing the topics of discussion and decisions made are available for public review.  Regular Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole Meetings are open to the public, the only exception to this is a closed, or "in camera" meeting, when required by the provisions found within Section 90 of the Community Charter.
