A heart-warming welcome

Ashcroft is geographically situated at the heart of a distinctly unique environment classified as the only true arid desert in Canada. Residents will tell you that the warmth of the climate and desert landscape are the main reasons they choose to live in the area, second only to the warmth and generosity of the small-town community.

Due to this morning’s incident affecting water levels, Stage 4 Water Restrictions are now in effect for the Mesa Vista and Rural Subdivision areas until 4:00 PM today, or until the water reservoir has sufficiently recovered.

Under Stage 4 Restrictions:

  • No lawn or garden watering
  • No vehicle washing
  • No pressure washing
  • No filling pools or hot tubs
  • Please limit indoor water use where possible

These temporary measures are necessary to help stabilize reservoir levels and maintain essential water service for the community.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while crews work to restore normal operations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
