UPDATE: Mesa Park Playground Construction is nearing completion!
The new playground project is nearing completion, and we are excited to share this new community space with everyone soon!
While final work is being completed, the playground and surrounding area will remain CLOSED to the public. For everyone’s safety, we strongly ask all residents to respect the fencing, barriers, and posted signage, and please do not climb on or use the playground equipment.
The playground equipment is almost complete, and we are currently waiting for the rubber safety surfacing compound to be poured. While the playground may appear ready, the site remains an active construction area and is still closed to the public. Please do not climb on or use the equipment at this time, as doing so could result in injury, damage to the new installation, or delays to the project completion and official opening.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we complete the final stages of the project. We can’t wait to welcome the community to the new playground very soon — stay tuned for opening updates!
What is happening?
To make room for construction, the Mesa Park Playground will be closed to the public from March 31 to June 30 while the Village prepares the space and the new equipment is installed.
The basketball court and grassy area will remain open for everyone to enjoy.
Why are we doing this?
The existing playground has reached the end of its lifespan and no longer meets current standards for accessibility and inclusive play. This upgrade ensures that children of all ages and abilities can safely enjoy the space, while better supporting the needs of today’s families and creating a more welcoming, accessible environment for everyone..
