Councillor, Cam Tedford

Councillor

Cam Tedford

Councillor Tedford moved to Ashcroft with his wife, Deb, in the fall of 2003. Shortly after arriving, they restored the historic BX heritage building on Railway Avenue and, in 2006, built and opened their own auto repair business next door, Friendship Auto.

Before joining Council, Councillor Tedford was an active member of the business community. He helped resurrect the Chamber of Commerce alongside a dedicated group of local volunteers, organizing several community events, including a car show held with the Fall Fair for seven years and coordinating the Terry Fox Run during the same period.

Councillor Tedford also worked for the Village of Ashcroft’s Public Works crew for 15 years. During this time, he gained extensive hands-on knowledge of the community’s infrastructure, parks, and recreation services, while applying his mechanics certification in day-to-day operations.

This is Councillor Tedford’s first term on Council, and he looks forward to applying both his business acumen and municipal background to support Ashcroft’s long-term sustainability, community well-being, and future growth—serving the community, now, and in the years to come.
