The village works closely with Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) to prepare and react to emergencies. We have a number of initiatives on the go to enhance our ability to react to emergencies including:
- Regular Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Training and tabletop exercises
- Evacuation route planning project
- Enhancements to communications especially with staff using both social media and a notification system
- Enhancing our digital capacity to weather emergencies and allow us to continue essential village functions off-site
