BC Transit
Transit service in the region is made possible through a partnership between BC Transit and the Villages of Ashcroft, Cache Creek, and Clinton. Operated by Yellowhead Community Services, the system uses two 20-passenger buses to provide transportation between Ashcroft, Cache Creek, and Clinton, as well as scheduled trips to Kamloops and 100 Mile House. Additionally, the service includes a Health Link bus, which operates weekly, transporting passengers from Lillooet to Kamloops with several stops along the route.
The funding for this transit system is shared by the Villages and BC Transit. Decisions on fares, routes, and services are proposed by BC Transit and require Council approval through the Annual Operating Agreement. Oversight is provided by a joint Para Transit Committee, which includes representatives from the municipalities, Yellowhead Community Services, and BC Transit. The committee ensures the system's sustainability and advocates for support from BC Transit and the Province.
