Cherry Blossom Painting

In Japan, cherry blossoms are a symbolic flower. These flowers are a representation of the spring time, hope, beauty, and new life. “Cherry Blossoms” is “Sakura” in Japanese. In ancient Japan, farmers used the blossoming of the sakura flowers to determine when it was time to plant their rice crops. After two weeks of the beautiful pink blossoms, they start to fall and you have to wait until next year to see them blossom again.
