Hair curlers! You would put the metal part of the hair curler in hot coals/fire, and when they were hot enough you would carefully wrap pieces of your hair around the curler and leave it for a few minutes then carefully take it out and get a beautiful curl! You would have to heat up the curler multiple times throughout this process.
